So Apple found out that mapping the world is hard, especially when your competition has a 7-year head start. For now, if you want reliable navigation, I guess your best bet is maps.google.com, which I used to locate a Verizon Store in Midtown Manhattan. I heard something about a boring new iPhone.
OMG! Start a Tumblr! Sergey would go crazy if he were alive…oh wait. Not only does B want to take me to Brooklyn, THERE’S NO SPACES AFTER THE COMMAS!!! The B,D,F and M trains are in THE MIDDLE OF BRYANT PARK!!!
And it’s not like I was even trying. I pulled out my iPhone to do something useful, tried Google’s “superior” offering, and got this.
The tech press needs an enema so badly it’s painful.

I think “ZOMG!” would have been more impactful…
I agree. I’m still polishing my linkbait headlines. It’s a work in progress.
One of my coworkers has been dealing with the results of a Google Map flaw for years. They live out in the country, and Google Maps keeps telling drivers that their driveway is actually a road which goes through their house, through their yard, and connects to another road on the other side. They’ve been dealing with a steady trickle of poor “gLost” drivers as a result of this, and their efforts to get Google to correct the situation over the years have been unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, even when the competition doesn’t *have* to lie to make the iPhone look bad, they still lie anyway. I guess it’s just an ingrained habit for them by now.
